Hey, I have this idea that the ignore feature should not let you know who is ignoring you. The feature is there so you can get people of your back so it shouldn't tell them that you are ignoring them otherwise, they can take steps to get themselves off that list by appealing to other members. Just an idea.

Maia,
It was sometime last year that a huge huge duscussion on this topic came up. A lot of people (including myself), wanted to know who was ignoreing them.

Mya, there is a rule that you can not pass on a message to a person who is ignoring the sender. it I believe can be a bannable offence as the ignore feature is there to stop the person receiving the message. So, it shouldn't matter what the ignored does, it shouldn't be allowed to affect you.

I looked through the terms of service and was surprised that there isn't any mention of passing on of messages etc. from a person being ignored to the person ignoring them. Now I see why, jeesh it's hard to explain.

However, I do remember a news item to the effect that we aren't supposed to pass on such messages.

I think that a person being ignored should know that they are being ignored so that they don't harrass the community leaders or admins trying to figure out why their messages aren't getting through.

I'd rather know who's ignoring me, though strangely enough, nobody has me on ignore, and you'd think i'd be one of th emost ignored zoners on here, because if i think someone is being mean and nasty, zap, he or she goes instantly on my ignore list, but if I am put on ignore, i prefer knowing, so i can put them on ignore, and i'll know not to reply to their posts or to speak to them in anyway.

Garret, first of all, shut up. It was an idea, afterall. Second of all, yeah, a huge discussion did happen about this, and I must say, that in the long run, this does make it easier on us, because people will know who's ignoring them, and vice versa, and so others will no better than to pass messages along, because yes, it is indeed, a bannible offense.
